In response to COVID-19, we will be hosting GP webinars for all Western Sydney GPs. Featuring key topics that address best practice and the latest developments, the webinars will also give GPs the chance to ask questions in advance which will be answered by the presenter at the end of the session.

Upcoming Webinar - COVID-19 vaccination rollout to RACFs

With the COVID-19 vaccination commencing nation-wide, NSW PHNs will be taking a deep-dive into the rollout of the Pfizer vaccine for Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs).

This will be an opportunity for all GPs in NSW to understand the vaccination process within RACFs and what this will mean for residents in their care.

To support the EOI for COVID-19 vaccination rollout, WentWest hosted two COVID-19 Vaccine EOI Webinars. These sessions were an opportunity to get an update on the national vaccination strategy and how local practices can be involved.

During the COVID-19 Assessment and Testing in Western Sydney webinar we heard first-hand from local GP-led Respiratory Clinic representatives and Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) staff about what each service provides, how patients can access a service, the testing process and how you can assess patients for COVID-19.

Our second weekly GP webinar was held on Thursday 16 April. The topic was on Surveillance, Contact Tracing and Isolation: An update from the Western Sydney Public Health Unit, and we were joined by Stephen Corbett, Director, Centre for Population Health, Western Sydney Local Health District.

Our first webinar was held via Zoom on Thursday 9 April and the topic was on Western Sydney HealthPathways.

HealthPathways COVID-19 Clinical Editor Lead, Dr Jason Yu lead the group through the related pathway and HealthPathways GP Clinical Lead and Riverstone Family Medical Practice GP, Michelle Crockett explored utilising the COVID-19 HealthPathways pack in her practice.
