On Tuesday 30 May 2017, we held our first Connections Conference, exploring a joint response to Western Sydney’s mental health, suicide prevention and drug and alcohol challenges.

About the Conference

Featuring keynote addresses from Professor Amanda Baker and Professor Ian Hickie, over 300 attendees were able to explore a range of topics including linking services for better outcomes, supporting people with complex needs and accessing help in the digital age. Holistic health and models of care supporting our First Nations people was a key topic as well as youth mental health concerns and suicide prevention strategies.
