As part of this focus, WentWest along with a variety of community organsiations work together to deliver Thrive@5 in Doonside – a place based early childhood intervention program aimed at improving Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) scores in Doonside (a suburb of Blacktown).
Thrive@5 in Doonside runs Mini Tots Soccer and Story and Rhyme Time during school terms 2 and 3 at Crawford Public School in Doonside.

Feeding into both national and local health initiatives for the Primary Health Network is a focus toward enhanced childhood immunisation rates and full completion of the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule. Since 2011, WentWest has facilitated its Immunisation Bike Competition, a region wide initiative encouraging childhood immunisation in partnership with local practices. The annual competition runs from October through to January each year.
