Severe and Complex Mental Health
As of 1 July, the Western Sydney Partners in Recovery (WSPIR) program has been replaced by the National Psychosocial Support Measures (NPS) program. NPS consists of 3 sub-programs: National Psychosocial Support Measures Extended Program (NPS2), Continuity of Support (CoS) and National Psychosocial Support Measures 1 (NPS Core).
Any client who is registered in the program up until 30 June 2019, will either transfer to the NPS2, to receive ongoing support to transition to the NDIS, or those clients found ineligible for the NDIS will continue to receive care coordination support under the CoS program.
NPS2 and CoS will only be available to clients who were active on the Western Sydney Partners in Recovery (WSPIR) program up until 30 June 2019.
NPS Core will be the new referral pathway from 1 July 2019 for clients who meet the following eligibility criteria:
The initiatives are led by WentWest in collaboration with Aftercare, Flourish Australia, One Door Mental Health, Mission Australia and Parramatta Mission.
From 1 July 2016, WSPIR began the process of transitioning current clients onto the NDIS to assess their eligibility for access to the Scheme.
