The annual Immunisation Bike Competition is back for 2026, helping Western Sydney practices increase childhood immunisation rates and support families to keep their children’s vaccinations up to date.
From 2011 to 2025, 17,787 children have been immunised through the competition, helping protect children and the wider community from serious vaccine-preventable diseases.
Register your practice
Registration is now open for Western Sydney practices to participate in the 2026 Immunisation Bike Competition via the Expression of Interest form.
The competition will run from 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027.
Every child who receives their 12-month, 18-month or four-year-old immunisation at a participating practice can enter a prize draw to win a bike and helmet.
By participating, practices can help ensure children are immunised on time, communities are better protected, and families understand the importance of timely vaccination. Your practice’s involvement can make a meaningful contribution to reducing the risk of serious vaccine-preventable diseases that can lead to ongoing health complications.
Resources to support your practice
Participating practices will receive a campaign resource pack, including two newly designed posters translated into multiple languages to help engage culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families.
The posters feature links to patient entry forms and GoShare patient education videos, which are also available in multiple languages. These resources make it easier for families to access information and take part in the competition.
Once registered, our Primary Care Transformation Integration Team will provide your practice with the campaign collateral and resources needed to promote the competition and encourage families to participate.

The Immunisation Bike Competition continues to receive positive feedback from participating practices, with 156 practices now taking part across Western Sydney in last year’s campaign.
