WentWest, the Western Sydney Primary Health Network (WSPHN), welcomes Andrew Newton as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  

Andrew joins us from his most recent role as CEO of Northern Beaches Hospital, Healthscope, where he demonstrated outstanding leadership, vision and dedicated engagement with staff, community and health care professionals. This complements our mission of working together with our diverse community in Western Sydney, fostering partnerships to deliver personalised, accessible and sustainable health care.

Andrew is delighted by the warm welcome to WentWest and is looking forward to inspiring change, leading the way for health care reform and empowering individuals in Western Sydney. 

With his wealth of experience across public and private health sectors, Andrew is best placed to build on the great work done by previous CEO, Ray Messom and the WentWest team. 

Andrew will lead on the extension of our strategic direction, which sees our purpose focus on holistic wellbeing and sustainable health solutions for our diverse Western Sydney communities.  

Aligned with the Quintuple Aim, WentWest strives to achieve health equity by supporting high-quality, patient-centred care that is sustainable, equitable and accessible to all. Delivered by supported and engaged health care professionals, WentWest enables them to thrive and innovate, whilst addressing public health challenges at the community level.
