WentWest, the Western Sydney Primary Health Network, is excited to announce our relocation to two new bespoke office spaces in 2022/2023. After 20 years of dedication to improving the health of Western Sydney, WentWest is broadening its impact and connection to the community. We are moving out of our current Blacktown base into two new state-of-the-art buildings. Located in the heart of Western Sydney, our new offices will broaden our reach and offer us a chance to embrace new and innovative ways of working.

Our corporate headquarters will be based at Innovation Quarter (iQ) in Westmead, with a smaller satellite office at the International Centre of Training Excellence (ICTE) in the heart of the Blacktown Local Government Area (LGA). We’re excited to be moving closer to other health, research and community partners in these new developments. In the iQ precinct, we will be joining the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), where innovation and system reform can continue to be our focus. The opportunity to be based in Westmead as the health precinct grows will prove invaluable to continue to deepen our partnerships.

“We’re looking forward to strengthening our partnership with WentWest as we both move into new premises at Innovation Quarter. iQ offers our two organisations an opportunity to collaborate on future ventures in health research and innovation” – Rob Grenfell, Director of Health and Biosecurity Leadership Team at CSIRO.

Having offices located in two LGAs will see new and existing partnerships evolve. We’re proud to have a long-standing relationship with Blacktown City Council (BCC), and moving into a space at the ICTE allows us to continue to embed ourselves in the local community and ensure our work with program providers, community groups, local leaders, and networks continue to flourish. Our presence at the ICTE will provide us with greater access to the Western Sydney community we are serving and access to unique research opportunities as we co-locate with leaders in sports medicine.

“The strength of our relationship with WentWest has been consistently demonstrated over many years, from working together on successful community events such as NAIDOC Week, to collaborating on critical community projects during COVID-19, such the rapid establishment of GP-led Respiratory Clinics. We are excited that WentWest will be moving into ICTE, a world-class facility at the heart of our community.” – Tony Bleasedale OAM, Mayor of Blacktown City Council.

With the builds for the new offices underway, WentWest hopes to relocate to iQ in April 2022 following completion in February 2022, and the ICTE in July 2023. The ICTE development is set in the beautiful Western Sydney Parklands on Eastern Road in Rooty Hill and iQ is positioned between Westmead Hospital and Westmead station. Both projects are set to be world-class, environmentally sustainable facilities with state-of-the-art technology.

“The new iQ and ICTE developments will be tailor-made to the needs of our staff, our community and our partners. These sites are ideally situated – at the heart of the largest health precinct in Australia and within a state of the art sports facility aimed at increasing the health and wellbeing of the community. The offices will boast modern technology solutions and a range of meeting and workspaces that reflect who we are and what we believe in, as well as demonstrate our deep connection to Western Sydney. Our new homes are testament to our growth as an organisation and lay the foundations for our future, as we continue to take ambitious and innovative approaches to building a healthier Western Sydney.” – Ray Messom, CEO of WentWest.
