Last week, WentWest proudly joined the celebration of Mt Druitt Community Health Centre’s 50th birthday — a remarkable milestone for a centre that continues to make a lasting impact in Western Sydney.

Hosted by Integrated and Community Health (ICH), part of the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), the event honoured five decades of care, connection, and commitment to the local community.

Attendees enjoyed a vibrant community day filled with informative stalls offering resources on healthy living, prevention programs, mental well-being, nutrition, and more.

Western Sydney Diabetes was on hand offering:

  • Free HbA1c blood tests — checking average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months. No fasting required — just drop in
  • Health information and practical tips to take home

The Liver Wellness Outreach Van also participated, providing free Hepatitis C testing as part of a research study led by the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Kirby Institute. This important initiative supports early detection and awareness of liver health in the community.

It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the Centre’s legacy and its ongoing dedication to improving lives in our community.
