Now is your chance to have a direct impact on the future of general practice in Western Sydney.

The GP Workforce Planning and Prioritisation (WPP) consortium partners for ACT and NSW are reaching out to all GPs, GP Supervisors, GP registrars, Junior Medical Officers and Medical Students in Western Sydney.

The goal of the GP Career Choice Survey is to strengthen general practice in our region.

Your feedback to a short survey will help address service shortfalls and determine the best placements for GP registrars in Western Sydney.

Why Should You Get Involved?

Be completing a short survey, you will be helping to address key workforce gaps and shape the future of GP registrar placements in Western Sydney.

Your insights are invaluable.

Your feedback will contribute to independent, evidence-based advice that will influence both current and future GP workforce strategies.

This is a chance for you to ensure that the right resources and support are available to meet the needs of the community and enhance GP placements.

Your input will directly impact the allocation of GP placements and help influence GP Registrar placement decision-making within the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Whether you’re a GP who’s filled out the survey before, or someone new to this process, your experience and perspective are vital.

The survey closes at 9pm on Saturday 15 March.

What is the GP Workforce, Planning and Prioritisation (WPP) program?

The GP Workforce, Planning and Prioritisation (WPP) program undertakes analysis and provides advice on GP training locations.

This involves stakeholder engagement at the jurisdictional and regional level to gain intelligence and test assumptions. WPP advice is provided to the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care and is intended to guide the two GP training colleges, RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners) and ACRRM (Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine), in their selection and placement allocation processes.
