This week, we invited our commissioned providers to attend our inaugural Western Sydney Primary Health Network Provider Forum.

The event was an opportunity to actively gather insights from our service providers, helping us shape initiatives that address community needs. By listening to the experiences and challenges of providers, we can tailor support, develop targeted training opportunities and open avenues for collaboration that address service provision gaps across Western Sydney.

Presentations were led by various teams from across our organisation with the aim of discussing how we can enhance and support the important work our providers do in our region.

At the event, Andrew Newton, our CEO, stated, “Today’s forum provides a valuable opportunity to hear a collective perspective on the service needs of Western Sydney. Our goal is to explore how we can enhance collaboration to improve health outcomes for the community, identify missed opportunities, foster connections among service providers and gain insights that will shape future initiatives.”

Participants engaged in thought-provoking conversations and round table discussions on various topics relevant to our community. For our staff, these discussions were an opportunity to hear firsthand of the impact of our work. This will also shape our Provider Engagement and Support Plan, which we will implement over the next year ensuring our objectives align with our network’s practical needs, fostering a responsive and impactful partnership that benefits providers and their communities.

As we move forward, the insights we gathered will continue to guide our efforts in creating a more effective and supportive network. The conversations and ideas exchanged will play a pivotal role in strengthening our partnerships with providers and ensuring our initiatives are closely aligned with the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
