WentWest is pleased to share that the Rouse Hill Medicare Urgent Care Clinic has officially opened this week as part of the Australian Government’s initiative to reduce pressure on hospital emergency departments.

Located at Rouse Hill Town Medical & Dental Centre within Rouse Hill Town Centre, the service operates seven days a week with extended hours and is fully bulk billed, meaning patients can access care at no cost with a Medicare card.

The clinic provides timely treatment for urgent but non-life-threatening conditions, such as:

  • Minor injuries including suspected fractures and sprains
  • Minor illnesses including respiratory, gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections
  • Wounds and cuts requiring stitches
  • Minor burns
  • Non-venomous bites
  • Removal of foreign objects from skin, eyes or ears

These services help ease demand on local hospitals, including Blacktown Hospital, by offering an alternative to emergency departments for injuries and illnesses that need prompt care but are not life-threatening.

WentWest remains committed to improving access to primary care across the region, and the opening of the Rouse Hill Medicare Urgent Care Centre marks an important milestone in delivering better health services for the community.
