On Saturday 21 October, Western Sydney Diabetes hosted the face-to-face Masterclass session at the PARKROYAL Parramatta. More than 300 people registered for the session, bringing together GPs, pharmacists, diabetes educators, practice and community nurses, endocrinologists, dieticians, exercise physiologists, psychologists and podiatrists to better equip them with the skills to manage diabetes.
The day kicked off with a keynote talk by cardiologist Professor Clara Chow, Professor of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health, Academic Director of the Westmead Applied Research Centre and Academic Co-Director of Charles Perkins Centre Westmead, Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), who spoke about Unleashing the Power of AI – Chronic Disease Management.

Virtual Series
More than 1200 health professionals registered for the virtual sessions, which were facilitated by Local Health Districts and Primary Health Networks from Western Sydney, South Western Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains and Hunter New England, as well as the Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Translational Research Unit and Agency for Clinical Innovation.
The seven-week program was comprehensive and engaging, featuring a range of expert guest speakers, interactive case studies and panel discussions.

You can also claim Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points if you fill out an evaluation form at the end of each session to get a Certificate of Attendance.
