We’ve funded an innovative project that provides Western Sydney general practices with access to GoShare, a customised patient education and content platform.
Supporting practices
GoShare supports practices to comply with the RACGP 5th Edition Standards, enabling health care professionals to educate and empower their patients to play a more active role in their health care. The tool is easy to use and enables health professionals to provide health and wellness information to patients or carers via SMS or email. Hosting hundreds of videos and thousands of information sheets and resources, GoShare gives health professionals access to credible, evidence-based resources such as patient and carer stories about managing illness. Developed in partnership with health experts, these resources are designed to complement face-to-face consultations, building the knowledge, skills and confidence of patients and encourage self-management. The evidence-based content is easily tailored to the needs of a patient in a variety of formats, accommodating a wide range of health literacy levels and learning styles.
Access GoShare
Practice managers within Western Sydney were sent an invitation to register their practice for GoShare. Once registered, practices managers can customise information and invite GPs, nurses and allied health staff from their practice to register.
