The highly successful Immunisation Bike Competition is a great opportunity for general practices to increase childhood immunisation rates in Western Sydney.
Since 2011, 16,972 children have been immunised through WentWest’s annual Immunisation Bike Competition in Western Sydney.
Practices in the Western Sydney Primary Health Network region are invited to express their interest in joining this year’s competition.
Through the campaign, every child who receives their 12-month, 18-month or four-year-old immunisation from a participating practice can enter the annual prize draw to win a bike and helmet. During each competition period, practices are invited to participate in the yearly competition to ensure that children are immunised on time, communities are protected, and families are aware of the importance of timely vaccinations.
When competition is open:
Practices in the Western Sydney Primary Health Network region are invited to express their interest in joining this year’s competition.
When competition is closed:
The Immunisation Bike Competition 2023 closed on 31 January 2024.
What is Provided
Participating practices receive posters, stickers, colouring sheets, bravery certificates, and a communications toolkit to help promote the competition.
Registration is now open for general practices in Western Sydney to participate in the 2025 Immunisation Bike Competition via the Expression of Interest form.

Terms and Conditions
The competition starts on 1 October 2025 and ends on 31 January 2026. To enter, patients must attend a participating medical practice within WentWest’s area catchment in Western Sydney. Children must receive their 12-month, 18-month or 4-year-old immunisation within the competition time frame to be eligible to win. Limit of one entry per child. Winners are selected from all valid entries and must attend the prize-giving event or forfeit their prize where an alternative winner will be selected. By participating, you agree to your practice name and address to be listed on the WentWest website and electronic entry form.
