It’s an exciting time for WentWest as we move into our new purpose-built home at the Innovation Quarter (iQ), 160 Hawkesbury Road in Westmead’s health precinct. We are looking forward to the opportunity to broaden our impact and connection to the community while embracing new and innovative ways of working. The relocation to iQ allows us to have a building that embodies our commitment to sustainability, staff wellbeing, and a collaborative workspace to engage with stakeholders and the community.

Moving to Westmead provides us with the opportunity to work alongside similar health organisations and partners, improve our environmental impact, and build spaces that are tailor-made to our needs as an organisation. We now have a range of meeting and workspaces with built-in modern technology solutions that reflect our fluid and dynamic working requirements. Working closely with award-winning architects, Greenbox, in collaboration with our staff, we have a design for workspaces that reflect our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. The carpets, soft wall panelling and workstations are made from sustainable and recycled materials and sustainable finishes have been chosen to have a minimal environmental impact. Our new location in Westmead reflects our brand and culture as an organisation.

iQ is evolving to become the premier lifestyle, health, education and training district in Western Sydney. This location is ideal for WentWest as it is positioned between Westmead hospital and Westmead station and other health-related organisations including Western Sydney University (MARCS Institute, Translational Health Research Institute, NCIM Health Research Institute), and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) including their leading digital health and nutrition department (Australian e-Health Research Centre).

The new building has been designed to suit our commitment to providing a positive new work environment to inspire and improve the wellbeing of our staff. We are also close to Parramatta Park for those who wish to get out at lunchtime and stretch their legs. iQ also has two trees growing in the building to give a sense of nature and connection to country as well as roof terraces providing a fantastic view across Western Sydney.
