We are offering a grant opportunity for practices to become vaccination clinics to support vulnerable populations in Western Sydney

Grant Opportunity

As the management of COVID-19 in the community evolves, we have been working closely with partners across the sector to support the national vaccine rollout. As part of this ongoing work, we are offering a grant opportunity for practices that have the capacity within their existing practice or are willing to expand their workforce to support the delivery of vaccination clinics for vulnerable populations.

The funding will be capped at $10,000 per practice and will go towards assisting nursing and administrative workforce needs, which may include increasing existing workforce hours or bringing in additional workforce.

This will help:

  • Increase COVID-19 booster rates among vulnerable populations
  • Increase COVID-19 booster rates within at-risk neighbourhoods
  • Provide timely access to the COVID-19 boosters for at-risk groups

Clinics can run from 1 April 2023 to 30 June 2023 and will target COVID-19 booster vaccinations for vulnerable populations which include people who are:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  • 50 years and over
  • 16 years and over, and is a resident of an aged care or disability care facility
  • 16 years and over, and is severely immunocompromised
  • 16 years and over living with a medical condition that increases the risk of severe COVID-19 illness
  • 16 years and over with a disability

  • Demonstrate how they will target vulnerable patient groups
